Shipping executive leadership meeting

The NATO Shipping Centre and Commander Maritime Command met with executive leadership from the shipping industry to develop mutual understanding of the challenges and threats and to improve the exchange of information between the civilian shipping industry and NATO.

The visit included top level international leaders from the shipping industry, i.e. Carnival Corporation, International Chamber of Shipping, Lloyds Market Association, Intertanko and the DFDS.

NATO Shipping Centre (NSC) continues to execute our Shipping Industry Engagement Plan (SIEP). This includes attending key Shipping Industry events throughout the year, publishing newsletters detailing NATO maritime activities on the NSC website and distributing threat assessments for the Mediterranean (MARCOM is leading Operation Sea Guardian (OSG)).
