CONDITIONS OF INTERNSHIP

MARCOM provides the intern with a monthly sum to be used for their accommodation, travel and subsistence. Selected candidates are responsible for their accommodation arrangements.

• Interns receive a lump sum of £956.79 per month. The lump sum is not exempt from taxation. It is the intern’s own responsibility to declare this income to the relevant tax authorities. Interns may receive emoluments from outside sources (such as scholarships or grants).
• Interns are also required to have their own health and accident insurance. They may be covered by HQ MARCOM, at their request and their expense, for accident insurance during the period of internship.
• Interns will be reimbursed for their travel expenses on taking up duty and on leaving the service based on a return economy ticket and for an amount of up to £1,000.
